Why a dating blog for 40s?
I'm almost to my 4th year of dating in my 40s. When I began dating again after my divorce, I had no idea how different it would be to be dating in my 40s. I soon learned that it brings with it a whole different set of challenges. I began the blog to help others who are trying to muddle through the maze as well as to help myself make sense of it. And did you know that, according to the 2005 U.S. census, more than half of the single women in the United States are in their 40s.
I've had people tell me that dating in your 40s is no different than dating in your 20s. To those people I say, you must be in your 20s!
Family
I'm a single mom of two grown daughters. Kira is 23 and lives in Wichita. She has one cat, Ned. Kaci just turned 19. She recently moved to Wichita , and is living with her sister. She also has one kitty, Molly. Both girls will be attending Wichita State University next year. I am mom to three beautiful kittys, Harley, Andi, and Charly. I also have a very sweet, very special nephew who recently moved to Plymouth, Mass.
